Charlize Theron hosted the 2010 World Cup Draw today in South Africa. She is, of course, very attractive and one of the most recognizable South Africans alive, so I dont blame whoever chose her to host. The Draw was exciting, but I could not get by how awful Theron was on stage. Throughout the entire Draw, she insisted on improvising some of the unfunniest lines ever uttered.
It was definitely uncomfortable tv, but she seemed oblivious and kept on banging out jokes with the confidence of a Pryor or Carlin. Why did she not realize she was bombing? Simple, she is an attractive female, and what has an attractive female never heard in her life--criticism.
Attractive women have never been told they are boring, uninteresting, unfunny, etc.. Why not? Well, other women typically don't know "funny" or "interesting," so they look to their male counterparts for help in that area. Obviously, men hold their tongues because they think being honest might ruin any shot they got.
Let me take you through a couple of scenarios showing how "hot girl" is treated vs "fat girl."
Scenario 1
A guy is invited to a friend's house for get-together. He shows up and is pleasantly surprised to see a single, attractive female. The hot girl babbles a few things, and guy quickly responds with his most prized possesion when dealing with a hot girl--the fake laugh. Later, the hot girl tells a pointless story, and the guy replies, "That is so interesting, you make some really good points."
Scenario 2
A guy is invited to a friend's house for get-together. He shows up and sees a single, bigger gal. He tells his friend, "Hey, thanks for inviting me but I gotta run." But his friend is on to him and forces him to stay. The fatty blurts out a few things, and the guy tells her, "Games on, quiet down pig." Then the fatty tells a dumb story, so the guy interjects, "Ugh, does this monstrosity ever shut up?"
Hot girls need to be treated like the fatty in scenario 2. If so, hot girls would not have a false sense of confidence like Charlize Theron did today. Right now, the only hot girls we have who are interesting are the crazy ones, or as they are sometimes refferred to as, crazy pussy. Crazy pussy is fantastic, but you better watch your back.
