The guards are pretty easy in my opinion...
1.Sharon
2. Mario
3. Kirk
The 2 forward spots are pretty tough...
4. Gooden-Probably the best player of the decade, would be for sure except for shitty Maryland game. He was the best player on that team so you can't put Collison on ahead of him.
The last spot is the tough one. It's probably Collison because he has the best numbers. I wanna put Cole in their because his defense might put him over the top. Simien is right there and maybe even Arthur.
5. Gotta go with Collison.
Honorable Mention
Miles
Langford
Rush
Simien
Cole-If Cole finishes this season strong, knock Collison outta there for him.
Julian

I see you're trying hard to get me to post so I guess I'll concede and officially become a part of the infamous chipotle kid blog, although you could've garnered a more passionate response and went with an all-decade football post starring hot toddy, but I'm sure thats the last thing you want to hear me ramble about. An all-time survivor list wouldn't be a bad one either.
ReplyDeleteThe only qualm I would have is leaving off SImien, though it wouldn't be hard to make the argument that Collison and Gooden were more complete players overall but on the offensive end I'd go with Wayne over anyone on the list. A front court with big dub and cole would make a formidable combo and possibly more appealing than a gooden, collison based lineup. I guess if you were trying to put together the best team as opposed to going with the most deserving, you could have a completely different lineup. Hate to say it but it's also looking like Xavier could be making a push to be on the list as well as he is proving to be the best and most consistent player this year and much more capable than Julian ever was.
My evil plan worked. I drew out the boy who hasn't seen daylight all xmas break. Some other possible topics considered to draw him out: Asian women are the least attractive ethnicity, or why hipsters are the scum of the earth.
ReplyDeleteJulian gets extra points for non-basketball related actions. Xavier is going to have played 2 months this decade and only the first 3 months of next decade. Bad timing, doesn't bother me though. I originally thought he was a PP type player, it seems he is closer to a Rush/Giddens type player.
Scotty, do I smell book deal??? "Things that Really Grind my Gears," sounds like a bestseller to me.
